Synoptic Consulting is an independent business management consultancy
that offers a broad range of business improvement services.
We use simple repeatable techniques that enable client staff and
managers to quickly and easily become involved and self-sufficient
in the identification and implementation of business improvement
initiatives.
Our methodology has been integrated and developed from a range
of best practices uniquely blended to allow easy adaptation into
most business transformation initiatives including aligning strategy
to operations, business process reengineering, organisational redesign,
service management based on ITIL, information technology strategy
development, staff training programmes and balancing the relationship
between technology, people and finance.
Synoptic Consulting has over a hundred years of combined staff
experience in business consulting supplemented with strategic partner
relationships. This means that we can confidently offer turnkey
solutions, delivering a full range of business benefits including:

A Brief History
Synoptic Consulting was formally established in Australia in 2000
from the recognition that two major gaps existed in the global consulting
market.
Firstly, few consultancies were truly helping their clients to
'operationalise their business strategies'. Fewer still recognised
that ‘the management of process’ is achieved through
‘the process of management' and it’s enormous impact
on operationalising a strategy.
Over the years we have developed robust yet flexible methodologies
to address this gap in the market. The intent is to apply a proven
methodology to business improvement rather than relying solely on
industry experience.
Secondly, we discovered that few of our clients understood the
importance of the information supply chain, and were increasingly
turning to Information Technology providers for solutions to business
problems. We felt this was akin to getting your chicken wire supplied
by the fox.
Therefore, whilst we have considerable experience with the role
and capabilities of I/T in driving change, we have chosen to remain
independent of specific I/T brands, preferring to work with whatever
technology our clients have now, or are wanting to evaluate for
acquisition in the future.
We focus on our core competencies and have established formal partner
relationships to cover those areas outside of our skills set.
Synoptic Consulting is an Australian owned company, and is still
managed by the founding members.
