Regulatory Process Mapping, Analysis, Improvement

Synoptic undertook a Process Mapping, Analysis, and Improvement project targeting key Land Management processes, with a view to improving business performance and service delivery;

Formally process mapping key Land Management process that were currently in place (depicting the sequence, the roles and responsibilities, the key scenarios, the key documentation, and the supporting IT systems), Identifying practical, operational improvements, to support a phase of implementation of beneficial change.

Achievements:
• 15 key Enquiries, Notifications, Certification, and Native Vegetation Panel (NVP) Determination processes were identified for ‘As Is’ mapping and review;
• Identified, agreed, and prioritised all relevant processes in scope,
• Mapped the current (‘As Is’) business processes, & validate Regionally,
• Critiqued ‘As Is’ processes to identify gaps between the current process and future requirements,
• Defined high level Requirements for change to drive these new processes, & validate Regionally,
• Validated any IT System-impacting requirements for change with ICT Application Analysts,
• Designed and mapped Future (‘To Be’) processes, & validate Regionally,
• Provided validated Future state (‘To Be’) process maps plus requirements for change to ICT, to help inform their core Customer Management System development processes,
• Identified an implementation prioritisation and sequence,
• Facilitated a transition to implementation
