Multiple Student Administration Process Improvement projects

Project Manager / Senior Business Process Analyst in 2-person team delivering multiple Student Administration Process Improvement projects incorporating 70 processes for a large Faculty plus related central administration functions;

o Development of a Process Inventory listing all 250 Faculty-related Student Administration processes, and subsequent identification of high priority processes for further analysis (incl Special Consideration; Results & Grading; Student Awards & Prizes; Maint. of Schedule of Units / Programs / Majors; Savings & Deeming; Program Advising; Direct Post Grad Admissions; Casual Academic Staff Recruitment).
o Detailed ‘As Is’ process mapping plus metrics analysis (cycle times, processing costs, FTE Requirements).
o Development of a digital Process Reference Model (in html proof-of-concept format), defining the many-to-many relationships between people, process and technology, providing user reference.
o Issue identification and gap analysis, with identification of opportunities for process improvement. One functional batch of processes indicated a large cost saving and a substantial cycle time improvement.
o Future (‘To Be’) process redesigns, plus expected operational performance metrics, and comparison with ‘As Is’ metrics provided an ‘order of magnitude’ benefits analysis.
o Identification of Quick Wins initiatives, and documentation of High Level business requirements to support IT system changes to support future processes.
