Process analysis and improvement within Faculty Administration

The objective of the project was to document the current 30 key administrative processes involving Professional Staff within the Finance Discipline, and to undertake analysis of current processes, systems, roles and responsibilities, to identify improvements to enable a focus on core activities, to benefit cycle times, effort requirements, seasonality requirements, and ultimately, to lift the ‘Customer’ experience.

Achievements;
• Identified, agreed, and prioritised all relevant processes in scope,
• Mapped the current state (‘As Is’) business processes,
• Critiqued ‘As Is’ processes to identify gaps between the current process and future requirements,
• Designed and mapped future state (‘To Be’) processes,
• Defined high level Business Requirements to support and drive these new processes,
• Identified any ‘Quick Wins’ and facilitate transition to implementation.
