Quote-to-Cash (‘Q2C’) Value Stream Analysis

To complete a business process review to map current state processes within the Quote-to-Cash (‘Q2C’) stage of the business’ overall value stream, and identify areas for improvement.

49 detailed business processes in the Q2C stage of the value stream (excluding Support processes) were identified via a 'Process Inventory', within Sales, Hire / De-Hire, Operations, Quality Assurance, an Finance (AR). SITECH Management identified 29 of these for priority process mapping, analysis and redesign where possible.

Achievements:
Over a period of 16 weeks we;
• Process mapped the Current State (‘As Is’) business processes in detail across the areas of direct impact (sequence, roles and responsibilities, systems, rules, key artefacts, etc),
• Critiqued the Current State (‘As Is’) processes in conjunction with operational staff, and identify & define any ‘gap’ between the current process and the future requirements,
• Defined High Level Change Requirements required to support and drive these new processes,
• Identified a number of ‘Quick Wins’ that could be undertaken to improve the processes, and validate these with the business. Of these, approximately 65% were achievable through the provision of Procedural awareness and training to staff, whilst the remainder included Requirements and data configuration improvements, Process and procedure improvements, and adopting some 'Quick Win' apps,
• Validated these Change Requirements with the IT capabilities of the current systems, or with planned system enhancement initiatives underway, then with the broader requirements of the business as defined by a Senior Leadership group (Project Reference Team). Of these, 66% of the IT system-related issues arose from sub-optimal configuration, integration and / or utilisation of the existing CRM and WMS (Warehouse Management) Systems,
• Assisted with the development of implementation scenarios, including the investigation of potentially available IT solutions from within the wider Group.
